Bio

Michalis Psalidopoulos is the Chief Advisor and Chair of the Advisory Board of the Institute for Hellenic Growth and Prosperity at the American College of Greece (ACG). He is Professor Emeritus at the Department of Economics of the University of Athens. He was the holder of the Constantine Karamanlis Chair in Hellenic and European Studies at the Fletcher School, Tufts University (2010–2014) and Alternate Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund (2015–2020).

His recent books include: American Economists and the Greek Economy, 1947-62, London (Palgrave/Macmillan), A History of Modern Greek Economic Thought, London 2024 (Routledge), and Panagis Papaligouras: An Intellectual in Politics, Athens 2023 (Hellenic Parliament Foundation, in Greek).
